This was better than the first book, which is odd because I don't usually think that about the second book in a trilogy. But this was so good, even the second time around re-reading it. I didn't realize how much I'd forgotten of the plot because Jude and Cardan are so memorable as characters.
The last third of the book is such a wild ride with all the twists and turns. And that cliffhanger at the end killed me even though I knew it was coming.
