I forgot to look at the content warnings before going in to this book, and I really wished I had because it dealt with some heavier themes than The Folk of the Air trilogy.

The pacing of this started out really slow, and could have been better, but I was enjoying it. Until I got to 85% of the way through which is where I personally needed content warnings. I love knowing what I'm getting into.

That being said, I did like this book. I loved being able to return to the world of Elfhame and go on a quest with Wren and Oak. Oak! Who is exactly what I'd expect being raised by Jude and Madoc and the Court of Shadows.

I loved the riddles, and the games, and how much the world of Elfhame seemed to expand in this book. I could not put it down. I'm so excited for The Prisoner's Throne because that ending is going to haunt me.
