It's been a while since I've read something where there was so much life and wit in the writing. This was an absolute joy to read. I loved the banter between Aurienne and Osric, they really came to life for me.

Osric is such a menace and I love that we see a complete opposite in Aurienne. The way the slow burn enemies to lovers trope is working here is so good.

And the plot twist at the end? I didn't even see it coming. I'm so excited for the next book.
