This whole book was misleading. Yes, I know the story of Medusa, but it looks like a duck and it quacks like a duck and yet it absolutely wasn't a young adult book. I'll explain. The writing sounds like a young adult book, the main character's voice sounds really young, but that first scene in the book should have come with a content warning. When I know what I'm getting into I can handle myself, but I hate being misled.

This has absolutely helped me look at content warnings more often.
